<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>I love Meditative thought books. A book without a story, beginning, or ending. Just food for thought that contains bite size bits of knowledge allowing the reader to think gently or deeply about something. The focus is not within the pages, but within your thoughts, feelings, and aspirations. The </strong><a target="_blank" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tao_Te_Ching"><strong>Tao Te Ching</strong></a><strong> is Art perfected in this form. Each time I read the Tao , I feel a peaceful faction of knowledge sooth me. It is my understanding and interpretations that intrigue me to revisit the same pages over and over again.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>I enjoy my weekly trips to the bookstore immensely. I feel close to my dream of being a writer, a certain satisfaction that I have figured out exactly what I am going to do with my life. In the words of my favourite author </strong><a target="_blank" href="http://enlightenyourday.com/category/paulo-coelho/"><strong>Paulo Coelho</strong></a><strong>: “My Personal Legend”; my chosen purpose. This week, I picked up a </strong><a href="http://eckharttolle.com/eckhart_biography"><strong>Eckhart Tolle’s </strong></a><strong>meditative thought book: </strong><a target="_blank" href="http://eckharttolle.com/stillness_speaks"><strong>Stillness Speaks</strong></a><strong>. It was exactly what I was looking for without knowing it. So here are some meditative food for thought from </strong><a target="_blank" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eckhart_Tolle"><strong>Eckhart Tolle</strong></a><strong>.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong> </strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong><img class="attachment wp-att-1349 alignleft" src="http://enlightenyourday.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/stillness-speaks-by-tolle.thumbnail.jpg" alt="stillness speaks by tolle.thumbnail Stillness Speaks: Meditative thoughts by Eckhart Tolle " width="137" height="200" title="Stillness Speaks: Meditative thoughts by Eckhart Tolle " />&#8220;The Human condition: lost in thought.&#8221;     Stillness Speaks by Eckhart Tolle P.13</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>&#8220;A great silent space holds all of nature in its embrace. It also holds you.&#8221;     Stillness Speaks by Eckhart Tolle P. 85</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>“Doing one thing at a time” is how one Zen Master defined the essence of Zen. Doing one thing at a time means to be total in what you do, to give it your complete attention. This is surrendered action &#8211; empowered action.&#8221;    Stillness Speaks by Eckhart Tolle P. 66<span id="more-1345"></span></strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong><img class="attachment wp-att-1350 aligncenter" src="http://enlightenyourday.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/poolside-zen.jpg" alt="poolside zen Stillness Speaks: Meditative thoughts by Eckhart Tolle " width="304" height="246" title="Stillness Speaks: Meditative thoughts by Eckhart Tolle " /></strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>&#8220;When you become aware of silence, immediately there is a state of inner alertness. You are present. You have stepped out of years of collective human conditioning.&#8221;    Stillness Speaks by Eckhart Tolle  P.5</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>&#8220;Whenever you are immersed in compulsive thinking, you are avoiding what is. You don’t want to be where you are. Here, Now.&#8221;     Stillness Speaks by Eckhart Tolle P.16</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong><img class="attachment wp-att-1352 alignleft" src="http://enlightenyourday.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/zen-garden-bridge.thumbnail.jpg" alt="zen garden bridge.thumbnail Stillness Speaks: Meditative thoughts by Eckhart Tolle " width="200" height="150" title="Stillness Speaks: Meditative thoughts by Eckhart Tolle " />&#8220;This one moment &#8211; Now &#8211; is the only thing you can never escape from, the one constant factor in your life. No matter what happens, no matter how much your life changes, one thing is certain: it’s always Now. Since there is no escape from the Now, why not welcome it, become friendly with it?&#8221;    Stillness Speaks by Eckhart Tolle P. 39</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>&#8220;The mind is incessantly looking for not only food for thought; it is looking for food for its identity, its sense of self. This is how the ego comes into existence and continuously re-creates itself.&#8221;    Stillness Speaks by </strong></span><a target="_blank" href="http://books.google.ca/books?id=sjkyAAAACAAJ&amp;dq=eckhart+tolle+books&amp;ei=VN30Say-M46WkQSu6cSaBg"><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Eckhart</strong></span></a><span style="color: #000000;"><strong> Tolle p. 27</strong></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>&#8220;Feel the energy of your inner body. Immediately mental noise slows down or cease. Feel it in your hands, your feet, your abdomen, your chest. Feel the life that you are, the life that animates the body. The body the becomes a doorway, so to speak, into a deeper sense of aliveness underneath the fluctuating emotions and underneath your thinking.&#8221;    Stillness Speaks by Eckhart </strong><a target="_blank" href="http://books.google.ca/books?id=ru40roIzwfQC&amp;pg=PA143&amp;dq=eckhart+tolle+books&amp;ei=VN30Say-M46WkQSu6cSaBg"><strong>Tolle</strong></a><strong> P.21</strong></span></p>

It is as if you were waking up from a dream, the dream of thought, the dream of past and future. Such clarity, such simplicity. No room for problem-making. Just this moment as it is.&#8221;    Stillness Speaks by Eckhart Tolle P.44</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>&#8220;Artistic creation, sports, dance, teaching, counselling &#8211; mastery in any field of endeavour implies that the thinking mind is either no longer involved at all or at least is taking second place. A power and intelligence greater that you and yet one with you in essence takes over. There is now decision-making process anymore; spontaneous right action happens, and “you” are not doing it. Mastery of life is the opposite of control. You become aligned with the greater consciousness. It acts, speaks, does the work.&#8221;    </strong></span><a target="_blank" href="http://books.google.ca/books?id=ChQvs61JAGkC&amp;dq=eckhart+tolle+books&amp;ei=VN30Say-M46WkQSu6cSaBg"><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Stillness Speaks</strong></span></a><span style="color: #000000;"><strong> by Eckhart Tolle P.23</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong><img class="attachment wp-att-1356 alignleft" src="http://enlightenyourday.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/zen-crossing.thumbnail.jpg" alt="zen crossing.thumbnail Stillness Speaks: Meditative thoughts by Eckhart Tolle " width="200" height="118" title="Stillness Speaks: Meditative thoughts by Eckhart Tolle " />&#8220;Sages and poets throughout the ages have recognized the dreamlike quality of human existence &#8211; seemingly so solid and real and yet so fleeting that it could dissolve at any moment.&#8221;    Stillness Speaks by Eckhart Tolle P. 104</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>&#8220;True freedom and the end of suffering is living in such a way as if you had completely chosen whatever you feel or experience at this moment. The inner alignment with Now is the end of suffering.”    Stillness Speaks by </strong><a target="_blank" href="http://eckharttolle.com/books"><strong>Eckhart Tolle </strong></a></span>P. 118</p>

<h5><span style="font-family: Arial"> </span></h5>
<h5><span style="font-family: Arial">The basics of Creative Visualization can be defined as follows: “Every moment of your life is infinitely creative and the universe is endlessly bountiful.  Just put forth a clear request, and everything your heart desires must come to you.”  <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shaktigawain.com/"><span style="color: #008000;">Shakti Gawain</span></a><span style="color: #008000;">.</span></span><span style="font-family: Arial">                </span></h5>

<h5><span style="font-family: Arial">The world’s easiest meditation: <span style="color: #ff00ff;">Pink Bubble Technique</span></span><span style="font-family: Arial">  </span>  <span style="font-family: Arial"> </span></h5>
<h5><span style="font-family: Arial"> </span></h5>
<h5><span style="font-family: Arial">Exercise: </span><span style="font-family: Arial"> </span><span style="font-family: Arial">“Sit or lie down comfortably, close your eyes and breathe deeply, slowly, and naturally.  Gradually relax deeper and deeper. </span><span style="font-family: Arial">Imagine something that you would like to manifest.  Imagine that it has already happened.  Picture is as clearly as possible in your mind.</span><span style="font-family: Arial">Now in your mind’s eye surround your fantasy with a <span style="color: #ff00ff;">pink bubble</span>; put your goal inside the bubble.  Pink is the color associated with the heart, and if this color vibration surrounds whatever you visualize, it will bring to you only that which is in perfect affinity with your being. </span><span style="font-family: Arial">The third step is to let go of the bubble and imagine it floating off into the universe, still containing your vision.  This symbolizes that you are emotionally “letting go” of it.  Now it is free to float around in the universe, attracting and gathering energy for its manifestation. </span></h5>
