Glad you enjoyed… When I first read the quote, I thought of the movie and wondered if anyone knew that it was a Borges quote.

I really love the first quote you posted here. It's so interesting to me because I wonder if some people ever find out who they are…and, if not, does that mean he or she hasn't lived? Very interesting post. Thank you for sharing it!

I haven't read Borges, but your question makes me wonder…some connections are so profound, talking at a social level trivializes them…Some of the books I have read have really meant so much to me, and if I went up to the author and said 'Oh, I so love your books' like any other groupie, and they said 'thanks' it feels like it might bring it all down a notch. All too human in a way. So that's my theory on why he didn't speak!
