Hey Nath, that is one of my all time favourite comments posted here; so thank you.
First off, I think it was awesome that the original author found my response to his poem and left me a comment. The life I was trying to describe was the life of an artist who is free to live the life he wishes, and that is the life I strive for everyday. Sometimes I hit the mark, other times I miss, but I will always strive to be free of the boring and mundane rat-race others don’t have the courage to even question.
Cheers

Thought provoking poem, and a great re-write.

Ed, with respect, I disagree with your comment about the re-write referring to some la la land. It is indeed a good life, and one seemingly reserved for those bold enough to sieze it.

...And that suits me just fine.

Love the original one too, Ed, if you see this. :)

Your poem seems to describe some la la land where no one works or has responsibilities. It lacks any sense of irony. I'm glad tho that my poem generated a response, that's what it's meant to do. Sorry the picture isn't all rosy, tho.
